Alli McGranaghan, while less formally decorated than Jeff, is equally as silly. Alli's trail name is TBD... but for over a decade she’s been known as Princess Fun by friends and family.
Alli has been inspired and influenced by strong, positive people in the outdoor industry and humbly aspires to be one herself. Her audience is anyone who has feelings of doubts toward their personal pursuits in the outdoors. She encourages others to find their joy, be silly and simply take small steps towards their goals because eventually, you’ll end up on top of a mountain.
Over the last ten years, Alli has worked in various roles in the educational field. While always having enjoyed the outdoors, she has recently uncovered the same passion and joy that teaching provided through the pursuit and perseverance of long-distance hiking.
Starting in March, she will be attempting her first thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. You can follow along with her adventure via Instagram (@bucketsofmoonbeams). She plans to move along the trail slowly compared to Garmier - but enjoy it equally nonetheless!
Fun5ks will also accompany Alli along the PCT! So be on the lookout for the girl who has a level of enthusiasm a touch above your average thru-hiker, is carrying a fishing pole and possibly wearing a tutu or other costumes during event weeks. She’ll also continue to carry her students' beloved classroom mantra while on the trails: change the world, be kind.
